The District’s Workplace of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Financial Growth (DMPED) introduced on June 15 a request for proposals (RFPs) for the redevelopment of the Engine Firm 3 fireplace station and the adjoining Division of Vitality and Surroundings web site in Northwest.
The mission web site is situated alongside New Jersey Avenue in Ward 6 and presently homes Engine Firm 3 and the D.C. Fireplace and EMS Museum. The redevelopment can be invested in a historic constructing that has served as a fireplace station since 1916. Desired proposals will create a mixed-income, mixed-use group that’s pedestrian-oriented and provides new retail, facilities, and job alternatives.
